Ceclia “Bunny” Ann DeSart, 95, of Fort Dodge, passed away, Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Marian Home.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Bunny is survived by her children Vicky (Mike) Grell of Fort Dodge, Linda Davis of Ames, David DeSart of Fort Dodge, Roger (Penny) DeSart of Fontana, CA, grandchildren Chris, PJ, Crystal, Cory, Kelly, Ashley, Travis, Meredith, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Bunny is preceded in death by her husband Dale, parents Fred and Ann (Smith) Buntrock, brothers Harold, Rocky, and Virgil Buntrock, and grandson Chad Grell.
Ceclia Ann Buntrock was born on May 7, 1931, to Fred and Ann Buntrock in Cresco. She was raised and educated in Cresco. On August 5, 1950, Bunny was united in marriage to Dale DeSart and the couple established their home in Waterloo. In 1987, the couple moved to Reno, NV for 10 years before establishing their home in Ralston. The couple relocated to Fort Dodge in 2014. She worked for Payless Shoes for a number of years and then as a greeter at Walmart. Bunny is an avid bowler, loved playing card and going to garage sales. She is a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
