Shelia Anderson

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Newark Cemetery in Vincent. There will be a visitation from noon until the time of service at the funeral home on Thursday.

Shelia is survived by her son, Tim Anderson; daughter, Angie Anderson; grandson, Caleb Weimer (Suzanne Nelson) and his children Bentley and Jase; granddaughter, Catie (Pat) Newland and their children Kinsley and Wyatt; and brother, Curt Strom.

Shelia is preceded in death by her husband, Michael; parents, Palmer and Ermadell (Hintch) Strom; and sisters, Ardis Strom and Tracy Olson.

Shelia Rae Strom was born on February 22, 1947, in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated here graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High. On August 20, 1965, she was united in marriage to Michael Anderson, and the couple made their home on a farm near Vincent. Shelia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially having coffee at Brownies. She also enjoyed playing Yahtzee and crocheting.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
