Donald M. Miller “Don”, 58, formerly of Fort Dodge passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 at Pine Acres, West Des Moines.
A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Don is survived by his children Bria (Ben) Leighton of Maine, Cody Medearis of Newell, Jaxon Miller of Phoenix, AZ, father Gary (Anita) Miller of Humboldt, three grandsons, sister Brandi (Josh) Pyle of Fort Dodge, aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, a nephew, his best friend Mike Jacobson, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Myrna Walker DuHadway, maternal grandparents Dewey and Greta Snyder, paternal grandparents Raymond and Mildred Miller, cousins Katie Miller, Tommy Wagner, aunt Kay Wagner, uncles Fairley Calhoun, and Neil Miller.
Donald Milton Miller was born May 26, 1968, in Radford, Virginia. Don was raised in Fort Dodge and attended Saint Edmond Catholic High School. Don loved fish and reptiles and turned his passion into a business throughout Arizona and Iowa. For 27 years, “Dr. Fish” owned and operated Crystal Coves in Phoenix, Arizona helping many maintain their aquariums and care for their pets. Don was an avid bowler that even held his PBA Card. He enjoyed motorcycles and classic cars, especially Dodge Chargers.
