Betty Donahoe

Betty Yvonne Donahoe, age 94, of Northfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Northfield Retirement Community.

Betty is survived by her children, Michael (Martha) Donahoe of Northfield, Minnesota; William Donahoe of Urbandale, Iowa; and Steven (Julie) Donahoe of Flower Mound, Texas. She was a proud grandmother to John (Jenna) Donahoe of Maple Grove, Minnesota; Joseph (Alexandra) Donahoe of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Nicholas Donahoe of Urbandale, Iowa; Kyle (Christina) Donahoe of Johnston, Iowa; Kaleb Donahoe of Urbandale, Iowa; Matt (Bryn) Donahoe of The Colony, Texas; and Amanda (Cody) Alexander of Austin, Texas. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren William and Theodore Donahoe, Declan and Dallyn Donahoe, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of another great-grandchild.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Joseph Donahoe Jr.; her parents, Wilford and Irene Tucker; her parents-in-law, John and Myra Donahoe; and her siblings, Stanley Tucker, Geraldine Browning, Gerald Tucker, Merle Tucker, and Leo Tucker.

Betty will be remembered for her caring heart, unwavering dedication to her family, her lifelong service to nursing, and the kindness and grace she extended to everyone she met. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched as a nurse, teacher, mother, grandmother, and friend.

A celebration of Betty's life will be held at 11 AM, Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Northfield Retirement Community Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the NRC Chapel. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Rockwell City, IA.
