Ellen J. Lemberg
Ellen Jane Lemberg, 101, of Badger, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the Badger Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Meier officiating. Interment will follow at North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM also at the Badger Lutheran Church.
Ellen is survived by her son, Randy (Karen) Lemberg, Humboldt; daughter-in-law, Jean Lemberg of Badger; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Josh, Zach, Kyle, Cory, Kristyn, Amanda, and Abbey; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Nettie (Warland) Larson; her husband, Dale LeRoy Lemberg; son, LeRoy Dale Lemberg; daughter, Pam Oleson, and siblings, Lloyd Larson, Alvin Larson, Glen Larson, Irving Larson, Norman Larson, Howard Larson, Duane Larson, Eleanor Askelson and Charlene Hilstad.
Ellen Jane Lemberg was born on July 15, 1924, near Badger, Iowa, to Gus and Nettie (Warland) Larson. She grew up in the Badger area and spent her life devoted to faith, family, and farming. As a dedicated farm wife, Ellen worked alongside her husband in building their family and caring for their home and farm through many seasons of life. Her husband, Dale, proudly served his country as a World War II veteran, and together they shared many years of marriage and commitment to their community.
Ellen was a longtime and faithful member of Badger Lutheran Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished the moments shared with her children, grandchildren, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
