Janet “Jill” Wollenzien
Janet Jill Wollenzien died April 25, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Society in Manson, Iowa. She was born December 24, 1936, in Lake City, Iowa. She lived in Rockwell City until 1946, when she moved with her family to Manson. She was educated in the Manson Schools, graduating high school in 1955. She attended Rockford College for two years before moving to California.
Jill was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving for five years. After her service, she worked for the Federal Government until retiring in 1991. She resided in Manson until her death.
Jill is survived by her brother David Wollenzien and sister-in-law Norene Wollenzien; niece Sarah Heilskov; nephews Andy Wollenzien and Ben (Dawn) Wollenzien; three great-nieces, Marin and Ava Heilskov and Alexandra Wollenzien. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Jeannette (Peterson) Wollenzien.
A private family graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Rockwell City, Iowa. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home — Weishaar Chapel in Manson.
