Betty Jean Pritchard

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Betty Jean is survived by her children Sue (Tom) Bradley of Fort Myers, FL, Lynne Pritchard of Lohrville, Larry (Margaret) Pritchard of Jefferson, Alan Pritchard of Jacksonville, Fl, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a few great great-grandchildren and her brother Francis (Marcy) Shipman of Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Blanch (Sheker) Shipman, husband David in 2002, children Kristi Pritchard, Vicky (Leanard) Butrick, Debra Moore, David Pritchard Jr. and sister Sandra Nicholson.

Betty was born July 26, 1932, in Fort Dodge. She was united in marriage to David Pritchard in 1949 and the couple made Fort Dodge their home. They went on to raise eight children and Betty was a loving homemaker. She was an avid antiquer, loved playing cards, enjoyed gardening, and spending time with all of her grandchildren. Betty never missed an opportunity to make a homemade meal for her family. Betty Jean Pritchard will be deeply missed.
