Madelyn Abrams

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Madelyn Johnson was born March 9, 1927, in Goodell, IA to Clarence and Frances (Tegland) Johnson. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Dows, Iowa. She graduated from Popejoy High School in 1944.

Madelyn was united in marriage to Dale Harmon in 1946. They were the parents of Linda (Harmon) Gord and Craig Harmon. They later divorced. In 1958, Madelyn married Leslie Abrams of Fort Dodge where they made their home. From this union was born a daughter, Joleen (Abrams) McClintock.

Madelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Les, daughter Joleen, son Craig, and sisters Betty and Thelma. She is survived by her daughter Linda Gord, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Prince of Peace Church.
