Loren Huffman
Loren D. Huffman, 84, of Pleasant Hill and formerly of Goldfield, passed away at his home on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, at Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Military rites will be presented. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
Loren is survived by his daughter Jennifer Huffman, grandchildren Tristan and GraceLynn Huffman all of Pleasant Hill.
Loren was preceded in death by his wife Thelma, infant daughter Patricia Lynn, parents, sisters Pamela Huffman, Debra McCutceen, Barbara Lehman, and brother Charles Huffman.
Loren Daniel Huffman was born February 26, 1942, to Raymond and Edith (Alumbaugh) Huffman in Windsor, Missouri. The family later moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa. Loren served in the Army from 1959 to 1964 during the Vietnam War.
He was united in marriage to Thelma Irelan at the First Baptist Church, Eagle Grove and they made Goldfield their home. In 1978, the couple established L.D. Huffman Sanitation in Eagle Grove. In 1982, they expanded the business in Goldfield. Thelma passed away in 1993. In 1998, Loren sold his sanitation business and moved to Pleasant Hill. From 1999 to 2009, L.D. worked for Storey Kenworthy as an overnight driver. He was a member of the VFW.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
