James “Randy” Fisher

James “Randy” Fisher (78) passed away on March 12, 2026, at Friendship Haven. An informal Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 23, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fort Dodge.

Born July 24th,1947, in Des Moines, IA, Randy graduated from Des Moines Technical H.S., and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1970. He and his late wife, Beverly (Gillespie) Fisher, built a full & happy life together in the Fort Dodge area until her passing in 2009.

Professionally, Randy worked as District Manager at Kawasaki Motors for 30 yrs, where his natural salesmanship, quick wit, & gift for storytelling made him both successful and unforgettable. Alongside Beverly, he also ran Vincent Antique Galleries for over 17 years; proof that Randy didn’t just collect antiques, he collected stories, treasures, and a few things he absolutely didn’t need. To know Randy was to be entertained, to be welcomed, and very likely, to hear a joke you probably shouldn’t repeat.

He will be dearly missed by those who knew & loved him: his daughter, Cary (Chad) Clark of Fort Dodge; granddaughter Zoey (Trevor) Schorzmann; and great-grandchildren Theodore and Charlotte of Ankeny; and his siblings Joe (Marcy) Fisher & Melody “Dee” Fisher.
