Austin Humphrey
Austin Edward Humphrey, 32, of Humboldt, passed away unexpectedly at his home of natural causes on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The family will have two opportunities to celebrate Austin’s life on April 4, 2026. Juanita will Celebrate from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 2607 170th Street, Fort Dodge. And Larry will Celebrate from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Austin was born in Fort Dodge on February 8, 1994 to Larry Humphrey and Juanita Johnson. He attended school in Humboldt. Austin was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Over the years he worked for Unkies, North Lawn Cemetery and Brown Supply aka DSG. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, kayaking, train racing, figure 8 racing, working on vehicles, playing with his dogs and hanging out with his family and friends. He was known for being the best hugger ever, his smile, being stubborn, his free spirit and was quiet until you got to know him. Uncle Austin was great with the kids and loved playing with them.
Austin is survived by his mother Juanita (Jerry) Johnson; father Larry Humphrey; siblings Nick (Elena) Humphrey, Natasha (Dana) Finniff and Adam (Bobbie) Johnson; his grandmother Barb Humphrey and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Gary and Kathy Harders and Duane Humphrey; great-grandmother Willie Humphrey; uncles Scott Humphrey, Gary Harders and Tom Harders; and his aunt Kim Humphrey.
If you are unable to attend one of the services, memorials and flowers may be sent to Gunderson Funeral Home and Austin's parents will pick them up accordingly.
