Diane Everhard
Diane K. Everhard, 65, of Fort Dodge, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at Fort Dodge Health and Rehab.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Gunderson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Diane Kay Everhard, the daughter of Dwaine A. McBride and Betty L. Hanson, was born on August 13, 1960, in Storm Lake. She grew up in Storm Lake and carried the values of kindness and hard work with her throughout her life.
On July 28, 1984, Diane was united in marriage to George R. Everhard in Storm Lake. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and simple joys.
Diane worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a profession that perfectly reflected her caring spirit. She truly loved the people she cared for and found deep fulfillment in helping others. Her compassion and gentle nature left a lasting impression on those she served and worked alongside.
In her free time, Diane enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and solitaire. She loved traveling, going on walks, and camping, finding happiness in both adventure and quiet moments alike. Diane will be remembered for her warm heart, her devotion to others, and the joy she found in life’s everyday pleasures.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Bill Meyers) Everhard; sister, Peggy (David Anderson) McBride of Storm Lake; brother, Dennis McBride; sister-in-law, Janet (Bruce) Hamilton, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Everhard, parents, and her brother-in-law, Mike Everhard.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
