Phyllis Gerard
Phyllis Gerard, 81, of Webster City, formerly of Fort Dodge, died January 3, 2026, at Mercy One in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Lost Grove Cemetery.
Phyllis Erma Hade, daughter of Constance and Euphamia (Sandgren) Hade, was born March 29, 1944, in Webster County, Iowa. Her mother died when she was a young girl and she was raised by her stepmother Arlene (Mars) Hade. Phyllis graduated from Gowrie High School. She married Gale Gerard and to this union they were blessed with three sons: Jeff, Brad and Mike. The couple later divorced.
Phyllis was employed at Trinity Regional Medical Center for many years. She was a longtime member of Washington Lutheran Church in Duncombe. She enjoyed quilting with her church group, playing cards with friends and casino trips.
Survivors include her sons Jeff (Candy) Gerard of Webster City, Brad (Cindy) Gerard of Storm Lake, and Mike Gerard of Webster City, grandchildren: Nick, Chris, Tyler, Ben, Shelby, and Shane; 10 great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Wanda Hade. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother and siblings Harlan, Maurice, Jane and niece Debbie.
