Brian M. Peterson

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday January 19th 2026, in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Callender Cemetery. A visitation will be on Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Brian is survived by his brothers, Brad Peterson, Brent Peterson both of Otho, Blaine Peterson of Bertram, TX, nephew, Dillon Peterson, aunt, Joyce Anderson, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Iva (Heatherington) Peterson.

Brian Martin Peterson was born July 28, 1953 in Fort Dodge. He was raised on a farm near Harcourt and later moved to Otho with his family. He attended area schools and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. He then attended and graduated from Iowa Central Community College. For several years Brian worked for CHIEF Industries installing grain bins around Iowa. Brian also worked on an oil pipeline east of Chicago for several years. He loved farming and maintaining the ditches in and around his community. Brian was extremely handy and able to fix anything. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Harcourt. Brian was a long time Minnesota Vikings fan.
