Donna Michalski

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A visitation will follow until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date at Fulton Township Cemetery.

Donna is survived by her children Mark Michalski of Fort Dodge, Shelly (Wayne) Mason of Fort Dodge, Matt (Sherry) Michalski of Dayton, and Mary Jo (Jeff) Roach of Otho, twelve grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Michalski, infant daughter Jody, parents Louis and Violet (Spirek) DeFoe, sister Karen Taylor, brother Dale DeFoe, and daughter-in-law, Deb Michalski.

Donna Marie DeFoe was born September 27, 1938, in Fort Dodge. She was raised in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1956. On May 25, 1957, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Joseph Michalski, at Sacred Heart Church. Donna was employed by the Fort Dodge School District in the lunch program for many years until she retired. She was a loving homemaker that enjoyed baking, crafting, gardening, and Sunday suppers, especially with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered by her unconditional love, contagious laughter, and hugs and kisses.
