Don Steiner
Our brother Don Steiner passed away on November 19, 2025 in Denver, Colorado.
Don was born August 8, 1939 to Henry and Arline (Sonerholm) Steiner in Fort Dodge. He graduated from St Edmond High School in 1957. He served in the Army for two years–mainly in Fort Ord, California.
Don was employed by UPS and B & F sales while living in Fort Dodge. He moved to Denver in 1976 and worked for two distributing companies until his retirement in 1999.
Don was an avid sports fan. He loyally subscribed to the Messenger (sports page) for 50 years while living in Colorado. His main interest reading the Messenger was high school sports in the Fort Dodge area. His favorite teams were the Gaels, Dodgers, Hawkeyes, Cyclones and Cubs. Eventually the Colorado Buffaloes made the list after attending CU football and basketball games for years with his brother.
Don is survived by his brother Dean Steiner (dsteiner43@aol.com) of Palm Springs, CA and Dennis Steiner (quad6@hotmail.com) of Denver, CO.
He was preceded in passing by his mother in 1968 and father in 1975. Don was 86.
