Chuck Sawyer
Chuck Sawyer (age 87), passed away August 17, 2025. He, along with his wife Jeanne had a beautiful life while raising their family in Fort Dodge. Left to cherish their memory are their four children, Dean Sawyer, Ozark, MO, Don (Suzanne) Sawyer, Fort Dodge, Beth (Jon) Anderson, Pea Ridge, AR, and Amy Mitts, Bentonville, AR. They also left behind 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
They opened Sawyer’s Tendermost Beef in 1969, and operated the business for 27 years until they retired to Hollister, MO in 2003.
Throughout their lives they traveled extensively and never understood the word, “homesick”. They both had vibrant health and were very active during their retirement years. While in Hollister they immersed themselves in serving in many different capacities at their beloved church, Grace Community Assembly, Branson, MO.
A private family gathering was held for each of them in Branson, MO.
Their home was always available for family and friends that visited them in the Branson area. They were great hosts to all. If you’d like to honor their lives, get involved in your local church, take a trip, or spend time with family and friends.
