Trudy Cook
Trudy J. (Shipman) Habben Cook, age 78 of Tucson, AZ, joined her Savior on October 23, 2025. She was born to Jack (Wilbur) and Aldean (Nerem) Shipman on Sept. 2, 1947, in Clarion. She was baptized at Lake Lutheran Church, rural Goldfield and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corwith. She attended the Corwith Wesley Schools and graduated in the class of 1965. After graduation, she gained her nursing degree by attending Clarinda Nursing School and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ft. Dodge. She then worked in the Ft. Dodge hospitals. She married Larry Habben and had two sons, Troy and Tim. She later married Ronald E. Cook of Ft. Dodge. To this union two children were born, Rochelle and Thomas. In 1982 a move to Beloit, Wisc. This was their home for over 40 years. Trudy continued her career as RN at Beloit Memorial Hospital and Rock County Hospital until her retirement. They followed their children in all sport activities and later their grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ron, son, Troy Habben, daughter, Rochelle Dreksler, her parents, brother Roland, infant sister, Leann, in-laws, Merle and Berniece Strohschoen, brother in law, Donald Cook, sister in law, Anji Madisen and Deloris Shipman. She is survived by Timothy (Kate) Habben, Thomas (Elizabeth) Cook, Eric Dreksler and her ten grandchildren. Jayne Habben, Melanie Moore, Madelyn Edwards, Kallen, Kailin, Konnor, Kari, and Kinnon Habben, Gwendolyn Dreksler, Sydney and Rhett Cook. She is also survived by siblings Jackie Harle, Ramona Shipman, Brad (Mary) Shipman, Sara (Wyatt) Earp, Tonya (Dan) Butler, Wade (Pam) Shipman, Angela (David) Anliker. She is survived by sister-in-law, Mary Cook. She is also survived by an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Services Saturday, November 15, 2025 St. John’s Lutheran Church, Corwith, Iowa @ 10:30 a.m. with Internment following at Lake Lutheran Cemetery, rural Renwick.
