Mervin Bloomquist, age 84, passed on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Marian Home in Fort Dodge, IA. A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 1 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge, IA.
Mervin is survived by his son, Terry Bloomquist; his stepdaughters, Debra (Paul) Friesth, Michelle (Dan) Sauter, Marna Lawler, Deanna (Dewain) Gudmonson, and Jennifer (Donnie) Halstead; sister, Marlys McFarland; 18 grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Mildred Bloomquist; his wife, Verla Bloomquist; his son, Jeffery Bloomquist; and his daughter-in-law, Cindy Bloomquist.
