She was a stay at home mother, but later worked in Physical Therapy at Lutheran Hospital. Also, she assisted teaching at Cooper Elementary in Fort Dodge. She ended her career by teaching preschool at Prince of Peace for nine years, having the joy of teaching all four of her grandchildren.

Florence was a lifelong member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and was active in the Cottage Bible Study. She enjoyed many years in the Lutheran Women’s Fellowship and the Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Thanupakorn and her husband Attachai. To Jeanette, her mother was always her best friend, and they enjoyed the last eleven years living together in the home they built. Memories of sitting on the back porch together will forever be cherished. She was a beautiful soul and lived life loving her Savior.
