Delbert Tabbert

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held in Gowrie Township Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Military rites by US Army Honor Guard and VFW Post 1856 will be held immediately following the funeral service at the funeral home.

Delbert is survived by his children, Toni Tabbert of Fort Dodge, Troy (Jenny) Tabbert of West Des Moines; grandchildren, Christian and Amara; and brother, Gene Tabbert of Osage.

Delbert is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, parents, Victor and Hazel (Smalley) Tabbert, and sister, Anna Marie Catt.

Delbert Allan Tabbert was born on February 9, 1936, to Victor and Hazel Tabbert in Osage, IA. He was raised and educated in Osage, graduating from Osage High School in 1954. Delbert received his Bachelor degree in Agriculture from Iowa State University in 1958. On October 3, 1970, Delbert was united in marriage to Dorothy Waszko at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Delbert owned and operated DA Tabbert Co. for many years until retiring.
