Harold Joslin

Harold Donald Joslin, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Grandview Care Center in Dayton, IA. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 2 PM at Gunderson Funeral Home with a visitation from 1:30 to 2 PM.

Harold was born to Daniel and Ella Joslin on April 2, 1933, in Ola, AR. He completed high school before going off to work. Harold married the love of his life, Glenis Ricklefs, on January 23, 1955, and had five beautiful children. Harold joined the Army and served in the Korean War; after his honorable discharge, he worked at Celotex as a laborer and maintenance tech for 38 years before retiring.

Harold loved his outdoor activities, from trapshooting to golfing, to yardwork and fishing, and could often be heard listening to his favorite singer, Willie Nelson. He put a lot of love and patience into planting and growing his tomatoes. His Sunday’s he could be found at the Good Shepherd Church with his wife before spending some time outside with his family. He adored dogs, but especially his beloved Jesse.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Ella and Daniel Joslin, and his son, David.

He is survived by his wife, Glenis; his children, Brad (Debbie) Joslin of Kansas City, Sherri (Mark) Scott of Stratford, Daniel (Laurie) Joslin of Minneapolis, and Mike (Barb) Joslin of Colorado Springs; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
