Connie Rosemary Jondle

Connie Rosemary Jondle, 68, of Fort Dodge, passed away August 21, 2025, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

Friends may call at the Gunderson Funeral Home at 1615 North 15th Street in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. for visitation. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. following visitation on September 2, 2025, at Gunderson Funeral Home, 1615 N 15th Street, Fort Dodge, Iowa, followed by a Burial Service at North Lawn Cemetery.

Connie Rosemary Jondle was born April 10, 1957, the daughter of Bernard E. and Mary Jane (Kallansrud) Jondle at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She grew up south of Fort Dodge on the family farm. She attended Prairie Community School in Gowrie, Iowa. and graduated in 1975. She enjoyed participating in Track & Field before being diagnosed with Lupus at a young age.

Despite her illness, Connie was a very devoted aunt and was a caregiver for many of her nieces and nephews when they were young. She was employed at several different places including Stith’s Nursery, Younkers, and the United States Postal Service. Connie was featured on the Ed Breen “The Great Big Giveaway” TV show as a prize model in the 1970’s. She also taught chinaware painting classes and was a skilled artist.

Over the years, she cherished family gatherings, especially her nieces' and nephews' birthdays, as well as painting and caring for her cats. Connie will always be remembered for her kind heart, willingness to help others and never complaining no matter what her circumstances. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include, two brothers, Bob (Kathy) Jondle of Dayton, Ronnie (Sharon) Jondle of Dayton; three sisters, Pamela Jondle of Fort Dodge, Patsy Riedesel of Dayton and Bev Jondle of Dayton; 11 nephews, Bob (Amy) Jondle, Heith (Amy) Jaeschke, Eli Riedesel, Blu (Angela) Riedesel, Casey Woock, Greg Jondle, Mark Jondle, Colton Jondle, Dylan Jondle, Reno Jondle and Barrett Jondle; 5 nieces, Machelle Jondle, Sherry Jaeschke, Christy Jaeschke, Anna Jondle and Katara Jondle; 10 great-nephews, 14 great-nieces; 4 great-great-nephews and 3 great-great-nieces; significant other, Dean Anderson and special friend Lynn Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, George and Loretta May Jondle, Henry and Gertude Kallansrud; two uncles, Robert Kallansrud and Russell Jondle; one aunt, Florence Jondle.
