Charles Franklin Magruder III Magruder

Died on Thursday, July 31, 2025, after a battle with cancer at the age of 69.

He is the oldest of six boys raised by Charles and Ilene Magruder of Fort Dodge (Charles, Chris, Steve, Brian, Joel and Mike).

A super proud father of his son, John William Magruder of Alexandria, Virginia.

Charles, (an Eagle Scout and all conference swimmer) was an accomplished pianist, poet, and artist. His music was heard throughout Central Iowa at many churches, hospitals, and gatherings. He loved to volunteer and serve others.

Most amazing was his mature inspirational faith. He lived the words he studied as he devoured the Bible 24 times. He was eager for Heaven.

Visitation (9 a.m.) and funeral services (10 a.m.) will be at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines, Iowa, on Wednesday, August 6.
