Richard Hugh Jones, age 78, of Perry, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025, at UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Perry Chapel. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at First United Methodist Church in Perry, with burial to follow at Violet Hill Cemetery. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Diane Jones of Perry; his son, Ryan (Pamela) Jones of Ankeny, and their children, Sydney and Carson; his daughter, Melissa (Nicholas) Schlaud of Minnetrista, Minnesota, and their children, Ella and Owen; his sister, Teresa (David) Furneaux of Urbandale; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
