Larry Paxson

Larry is survived by his children: Sean Paxson, Chad (Trisha) Paxson and Megan (Kevin) Page; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister Pamela (Jim) Tekippe, nieces and nephew, and his best friend Victoria Jensen. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry Ardean Paxson, the son of Max and Lucille (Conner) Paxson, was born February 20, 1946, in Osceola, Iowa. He lived in Kent and later graduated from Creston High School. Larry attended barber college in Des Moines and operated his own shop in Newton, Iowa. Larry became an agent for Prudential Insurance in Fort Dodge, retiring after nearly 40 years with the company.

Larry loved a good conversation and could talk to anyone–he truly never met a stranger. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially fishing, kayaking, gardening and keeping himself busy–often with a broom in hand, sweeping and tinkering with various projects around his home. He shared a special bond with his beloved cat, Sprinkles, who was always close by and brought him constant comfort and companionship. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
