Goldie Davis

Goldie was born August 3, 1925, in Callender, Iowa, to Peter and Mary Hanson. She graduated from Callender High School. On October 31, 1947, she married Duane “Davy” Davis. They worked together for many years at Davy’s Sales and Service in Fort Dodge. Duane preceded her in death on July 8, 1992.

Goldie is survived by her children, Mary (Robert) Engberg of Burlington, Iowa, Randall Davis of Homosassa, Florida, and Bradley Davis of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; her grandchildren, Aaron (Karen) Engberg of Burlington, Iowa, Emily (John Fallin) Engberg of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Traci Davis of Geneseo, Illinois, Tagan (Josh) Timmerman of Walcott, Iowa and Tyler (MacKenzie) Davis of Boone, Iowa and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, her husband and son Thomas.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 18th at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th in Callender Cemetery, Callender, Iowa.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
