Yvonne Witte
Yvonne E. Witte, 73, of Otho, died Thursday, May 29, 2025, at UnityPoint Health- Trinity Regional Medical Center. The family will greet friends at Rides, 723 S. 31st St., from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter-in-law Tracy Witte; grandchildren, Jake (Ashley) Witte, Triston (Mercedes) Witte, Samantha Witte (Trevon) and Billy Witte; seven great-grandchildren, her brother Martin Bane, her brother-in-law Garth (Tina) Witte II, sisters-in-law, Lana Wendland and Diana Witte; and her close friends, Cyndee and Rob Westrum. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Terry Sr., two sons, Terry Jr., and Todd; her siblings Carol, Shirley, Leonard, Jackie and Bonnie; her in-laws, Garth and Betty Witte, brother-in-law Randy Witte, and nephews, Brett Wendland and Riley Meier.
Yvonne E. Bane, the daughter of Leonard and Helen Bane, was born August 27, 1951, in Hammond, IN. She moved to Pomeroy from where she graduated high school and later attended Bernal Beauty College. In 1972, Yvonne was united in marriage to Terry Witte Sr., and they made their home in Otho. Yvonne was employed at Kmart and later Electrolux where she served as a union steward and committee member for many years. She was known as the nicest person who worked there.
Yvonne enjoyed boating, camping and watching drag races. She especially treasured time spent with her family.
