Kirk Reed
Kirk Allen Reed, son of Don and Jan (Carter) Reed, was born on May 31, 1979 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was raised and attended school in Eagle Grove, graduating in 1996. In 1997, he moved to the One Vision campus at Clear Lake, where he lived until 2022. At that time, he moved to the campus at Fort Dodge, Iowa. Kirk’s favorite things were truck rides to Casey’s or Wendy’s with his dad, listening to country music, and putting puzzles together.
Kirk and his dad, Don, had a special bond sharing time together. Wherever you saw one, you would see the other. Their bond was so strong that Kirk passed away four months to the day following his father’s death. Knowing they are together again brings comfort to many.
Kirk passed away unexpectedly at the age of forty-five. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents; John and Lucille Carter, and Warren and Ruth Reed. Kirk is survived by his mother, Jan Reed; brother, Kyle (Mandy); nephews, Tyson Carter and Langdon Tate Reed; step-grandmother, Millie Reed; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
