Dawn Musselman
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dawn Melody Musselman on May 10, 2025, at the age of 79. Dawn was born and raised in Fort Dodge, and she attended school at Fort Dodge Senior High.
She worked in administration for various businesses in Fort Dodge while raising her children. She worked for Washington Mutual Financial and as a retail manager at Tuesday Morning in Los Angeles before retiring in Fort Dodge. Dawn found joy in sewing, cooking, traveling, and taking care of elderly in her community. She split her time in Fort Dodge, spending time with her grandchildren; California/Mexico, where she frequented winetasting and dinner with friends. Dawn never met a stranger wherever she was.
Dawn is survived by her daughters, Lisa May, Kim (Mark) Klingson, Dr. Jennifer Musselman, and son, Michael Kaufman, grandchildren, Christopher, Nate, Crena, Tristan, Jordan, Logan, John, Lindsey & great grandchildren, Jonathan & Lucas. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alyson May, son, Doug May, brother Gary Dayton, and parents Amet and Bette Dayton.
The family will hold a graveside service at North Lawn Cemetery in June. In lieu of flowers, the family requests positive stories you may have shared over the years with Dawn for reading at her burial, which can be emailed to alyssa@gundersonfuneralhome.com
