LaVonne Ehrhardt

Cremation rites have been conducted by Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, at the Gunderson Funeral Home.

LaVonne is survived by her son Richard (Sandi) Ehrhardt, Ankeny; son-in-law Doug Gambrill, Iowa; grandchildren, Nick (Libby) Ehrhardt, Humboldt; Tasha (Nick) Pedersen, Humboldt; Jared (Alyssa) Gambrill, Goldfield; Mitch (Shelby) Gambrill, Fort Dodge; Nick, Justin, and Brandon Nolting; great grandchildren, Peyton, Brielle, Parker, Porter and Amelia; her siblings, Linda Williams, Valrico, Florida; LaRue Hanselman, Algona; Maggie Price, Selmer, Tennessee; and Tom Burns, Lemars. She was preceded in death by her husband Dick, her daughter Shelly, and two siblings, Patricia Osborn and Merlyn Burns.

LaVonne R. Burns, the daughter of Wayne and Helga (Werneberg) Burns, was born July 22, 1943, in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Pocahontas High School. LaVonne was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Ehrhardt on August 17, 1963, and she was a homemaker for many years. LaVonne later managed the Dollar General Store and the Kum & Go in Humboldt. Many loyal customers started their day with a visit with LaVonne at the convenience store.

LaVonne enjoyed playing video games, watching television shows and going to the casinos. She especially treasured the title of grandmother and great grandmother.
