Everyl Higby

Everyl Vanderpool Higby, born September 7, 1920, and died October 18, 2024. She lived most of her life in Lehigh; she was born in Lehigh, baptized in the Christian church, graduated from high school, married, and raised her family, all in Lehigh. She worked for the Lehigh Valley Telephone company for 22 years.

Everyl is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Higby; her sons, Don and Dal Higby; her mother and father; Beryl and William Vanderpool; and brothers, Randall (Leota) Vanderpool and Vonn Vanderpool, and a daughter-in-law, Mary Higby.

She is survived by her two granddaughters, Melody (Tom) Goodrich of Cassopolis, Michigan and Cheri (Archie) Wooley of Pocahontas, Iowa; four great-grandsons, Aaron and Thomas Goodrich, and Brandon and Isiah Johnson; sister-in-law, Marcia Vanderpool and nieces and nephews.

Lehigh is the greatest. This is my way of saying goodbye. So long everybody.
