Jeffrey Hugh Daniel, the son of Alexander and Regina (Hruska) Daniel, was born April 6, 1951, in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1969, and received his bachelor and masters in education from Mankato State. On September 15, 1973, Jeff was united in marriage to Kathy Allard in Fort Dodge. Jeff was an admired educator in the Fort Dodge Public School System. He taught for several years and then served as elementary principal for Otho, Riverside, and Cooper Schools. In retirement, he was employed as “Principal Inventory Specialist” at Daniel Tire.

Jeff was a master fisherman, especially when he was in Canada with his ‘crappers.’ In his younger days, he was active in slow and fast-pitch softball and enjoyed hunting. He loved music but was the first to admit he was a little off-key. Above all else, Jeff loved spending time with his family. He earned many titles that he treasured: honey, pops, daddy, padre, goofball, papa Jeff, and grandpa, to name a few. He was our hero and will be remembered for his strength, optimism, and humor shown throughout his lifetime. Jeff loved sitting outside in the sunshine any chance he could get. To the strongest man we ever knew, here comes the sun!
