Connie Woodrow
Connie Hynes Woodrow, 80, of South Carolina, passed away, February 4, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Corpus Christi Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Connie was born to George and Dorothy Hynes in North Dakota and graduated from high school in Bottineau, ND. Connie was an avid horseback rider, swimmer, and genuine lover of the outdoors. While living in Bottineau as a teenager, Connie received the Carnegie Medal of Honor for saving her high school friend from drowning. Connie was married to Jerry Woodrow for 19 years and they had two children, Shannon, and Troy. She was an award-winning hairstylist in Kenosha, WI. After residing in Kenosha, she made her home in Aspen, CO. Connie, then came to Fort Dodge and resided here for some time before moving to South Carolina to be with her daughter.
Connie is survived by her children Shannon and Troy Woodrow who lovingly cared for Connie for several years; her sisters Renee Kapustka of Fort Dodge and Kathy Allen of Clare. She was preceded in death by her brothers Wally and Ron Hynes, and her parents. She will be greatly missed.
