Wyetta DeVilbiss

Wyetta DeVilbiss, 92, of Fort Dodge, died April 24, 2024, at the VanDiest Medical Center with family at her side.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Dayton United Methodist Church with interment to follow at West Lawn Cemetery, Lehigh.

Wyetta Trueblood, daughter of Durward and Eileen (Lang) Trueblood, was born December 17, 1931, in Lehigh, Iowa. She was proud to be on the Lehigh Hilltoppers girls’ basketball team and graduated Lehigh Highschool in 1949. She earned her college degree from Tobin Business College. Wyetta worked at M&JR Hakes, Kreske’s, Mead Containers and was a bookkeeper for Carpet World.

Survivors include her daughter Pamela Pergande of Otho, Jim (Kathy) Kenney of Vincent, stepson Tim (Lana) DeVilbiss of Shell Rock; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; her siblings Richard (Pat) Trueblood of Webster City, Rhea (Gordon) Dickerson of MN, Keith (Carol) Trueblood and Marvin (LeNore) Trueblood, all of AZ, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wyetta was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bernard in 2005, her daughter Kathryn “Katie” Sandstrom, son-in-law Michael Pergande, and her parents.
