Lillian Shea

Lillian K. Shea, 85, of Greensburg, died Sunday, April 28, 2024. She was born February 3, 1939, in Rockville Centre, N.Y., daughter of the late Henry and Lillian Kassmeyer Rippel. Lillian was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Greensburg, where she was the former chair of Christian Education, taught Sunday School, and sang in the choir. She had been an active volunteer with the Westmoreland County Historical Society at Hanna’s Town. Prior to retirement, she was an elementary teacher and school counselor for Oceanside, Trinity, and Hempfield Area School Districts, as well as Diocene Schools.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William D. Shea.

Lillian is survived by two sons: William T. Shea, of Fort Dodge, IA, and Charles B. (Carol) Shea, of Oak Park, IL; a daughter, Aileen M. (Michael) Little, of N. Huntingdon; five grandchildren: Charlotte Shea, Lila Shea, and Graham Shea, Anna Little, and Will Little.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 501 Fairfield Dr., Greensburg. Kindly go directly to the church.
