William Wolff

William “Bill” L. Wolff, 90, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Marian Home.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard and the VFW Post 1856. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.
William is survived by his children, Rebecca (Brent) Holdgrafer of Webster City, Dawn (Alan) Boland of Fort Dodge, Julie (Kevin) Robbins of Carthage, MO, William C. Wolff (significant other, Angie Messerly) of Fort Dodge; stepchildren, Deborah A. (Steven) Heddinger of West Des Moines, Sandra E. (Edward) Point of Dension, John P. Hollister of Fort Dodge; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Wolff of Spirit Lake, and Rick (Marlys) Wolff of Avon, MN.
William was preceded in death by his wife Barbara; parents, Leonard and Joyce (Bomberry) Wolff; and his brother, Donald Wolff.
William L. Wolff was born on July 23,1933, in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1952. Bill served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956. He married Rosalie E. Colglazier in 1957, the couple later divorced. On December 1, 1961, he was united in marriage to Barbara J. (Ewing) Hollister in South Sioux City, NE, and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. He worked for Government Services Administration (GSA) for many years until his retirement. Bill was a lifetime member of the VFW and a past Commander. He has enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
