Timothy Neal Wredt

Tim was born in Nebraska City and grew up in Council Bluffs. Tim turned certified welding into functional art. Early in his career he built components for large buildings in Omaha and bridges spanning the MO river. Tim joined IA Army Ntl Grd in 1979 and spent 20+ years including 1st sergeant (Top) in Algona. His leadership skills always focused on men and mission. He enjoyed 2-wk summer camps and 3 weeks in South Korea. In his 50's he taught welding at ICCC. Tim retired from FDCF in 2010.

Tim met Jean, visiting family 2 doors down. In 1969 they married. Throughout life Tim lived 'God-Family-Country,' a devoted family man. In 1976, Tim and Jean moved to Lu Verne near Jean's parents. Tim, raised in the city, became a fixture at the Casey farm. With Tim, everything was clean, meticulously organized, properly repaired and maintained.

Tim had a private pilot's license. He loved spending time w/grandkids, taking them to Henry Doorly, playing UNO, teaching driving (grasshoppering), saving old coins, walking, traveling w/his kids. Tim's travels took him to Vegas, Disney and Universal and swimming in FL, hiking/rafting/fly fishing in CO, visiting SD and MI on 4-generation trips, music in Nashville and NOLA, camping/fishing/hunting w/Robert, attending Oshkosh Fly In, snorkeling in Mexico. He was a practical joker and wonderful storyteller.

Tim is survived by Jean, daughters Pam (Phil) Kacmarynski, Jenni (Kendall) Simmons & Andrea Wredt. Papa is survived by grandkids Casey, Wyatt, Beth, Rose, Ana, John, Ryder. Tim was always present as protector, provider, teacher, role model, w/love, care, devotion and attention.
