Elizabeth “Jane” Martin

Elizabeth “Jane” Martin, 80, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A private family interment will be held at the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Lytton, IA.

Jane was born December 24, 1943, in Fort Dodge to Lou and Helen (Kolb) Passow. She was raised on a farm near Jolley. Jane was baptized on February 29, 1944, and confirmed in May 1956 at Emmanual Lutheran Church, Lytton, IA. She graduated from Lytton High School in 1962. Jane moved to Fort Dodge and attended Tobin Business School. She worked for Kurt Pittner Law Office for 30 years, among other jobs. She enjoyed family and friends very much.

Jane is survived by her sons Anthony (Barbara) Martin of Vincent, IA; Bryan (Amy) Martin of Bemidji, MN; grandchildren Aaron Martin, Stephanie Martin, and Drew Martin; and her sister Darlene Tjarks Dencklau of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Joan Drown.
