Dorothy Kloss

Dorothy Maryann Kloss, the daughter of Stella (Gunther) and Vern Bairey, was born September 4th, 1936, in New London, Connecticut. On May 29, 1954, Dorothy was united in marriage to Larry Kloss. If you knew Dot, you knew she loved to talk about what it was like growing up on the east coast and reminiscing about all the fun she had when she was younger, including going clamming and watching the Navy ships come in. If you were lucky enough to have met her, she surely made a lasting impression. She was compassionate, not afraid to speak her mind, and witty. There was never a dull moment when she was around. She put a smile on everyone’s face. One of her favorite pastimes was getting coffee and going to Goodwill or garage sales to find bargains. The thing she enjoyed most was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Faith and Laurie Kloss: 5 grandchildren, Billy Kloss, Brittney (Myles) Allbee, Brandon Kloss, Brianna Kloss, and Kallie Kloss and several great-grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Larry Kloss, parents, a brother Butch Bairey, a sister Dee Davis, and a great-granddaughter, Brandi Makinson.
