Robert Cadwell

Robert Edward Cadwell MD, passed away on Jan. 6, 2024, at the age of 87. He was born February 12, 1936, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to William E. and Gladys F. (Chevalier) Cadwell. He married his high school sweetheart, Lucille “Lucy” Halligan in 1962. Bob received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, and his Medical degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, and moved to Wausau in 1967, joining the Wausau Medical Center. Later he later helped start Wausau Family Physicians specializing in family medicine; ultimately serving as Director of the Family Physicians Residency Program until retirement. Bob was highly active and enjoyed years of camping, alpine and cross-country skiing, fishing, canoeing, tennis, golf, and sailing; including active leadership in various volunteer programs.
