Ralph V. Abrams, 90, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, January 29, 2024, at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment and military honors will be held in Corpus Christi Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. (today) Wednesday at Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Ralph V. Abrams, son of Ralph W. and Mildred (Huiatt) Abrams, was born October 11, 1933, in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge schools and served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict from 1953 – 1955. On August 4, 1956, Ralph married Donna Mann. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge and raised their two sons. Ralph was employed with Hormel’s until 1983. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Ralph loved to scratch lottery tickets and was very lucky. He won a lot, more than most. He was a great conversationalist who enjoyed talking to anyone, he especially loved to talk to his son’s grandkids and great grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Godspeed.

Survivors include his sons, Joe (Shaunna) Abrams of Fort Dodge and James (Sharon) Abrams of North Ridge, CA, his grandchildren Ashley, Riva, Emily, Christian, and his brother Larry. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna in 2000, his parents and his siblings, Harold, Jenette Jorgenson, Claude, Leslie, and Ronald.
