Mary Schmoker
Mary Jeanne Schmoker, 69, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Mary was born on March 1, 1954, to Eugene and Alice (Jeran) Utley. She grew up and attended school in Fort Dodge. Mary owned and operated Union Cab in Fort Dodge for 26 years. She loved her family and her dogs and was always willing to help anyone she could.
Mary is survived by her Fiance Andy Hawkins; her children John (Crystal) Schmoker of Fort Dodge, Matt Duffer and Marc Duffer, both of Murfreesboro, TN; her grandchildren Hayes Duffer and Caitlyn Shapcott; great-grandchild Charolotte Wardell; her siblings Barb Tjebben, Kay Neavin, Dennis (Barb) Utley, Ron (Jeanette) Utley, Joe Utley, Doug (Kristen) Utley, Jessie Hendrickson, Mike Utley, David Utley, Tony Utley, Chuck (Angie) Utley, Tommy (Danni) Utley and Richard Utley. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Luke Schmoker; her husband John Schmoker Sr.; her parents Eugene and Alice Utley; and her siblings Gene Utley, Bea Matter, Georgean Brighi, Bev Wilson and Bobby Utley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with burial following at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
