Paul Cahill
Paul Cahill, 76, formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Pomeroy Care Center, Pomeroy, IA. His wishes were to be cremated and a private interment will be held at a later date at North Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Paul was born in Fort Dodge on October 18, 1947, to Clarence and Bonnie (Beach) Cahill. He grew up in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High. He worked for the Fort Dodge Messenger and then for Chantland Industries in Humboldt until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and going fishing. In most recent years he enjoyed coloring and working on puzzles.
Paul is survived by his daughters Tracy and Nikki Cahill of Fort Dodge; six grandchildren and his sister Barbara Eichler of Pocahontas, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife Pam; his parents Clarence and Bonnie; and his siblings David and Leon Cahill, Cathleen Beck and Donna Patterson.
