Mackenzie "Mack" Monroe Lee, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Fort Dodge, Iowa on Monday, October 16, 2023. He was only 32 years old.
His family is grappling with the profound shock and deep sorrow caused by his sudden death.
Mack leaves behind his devoted mother, Tracy Stevens who will cherish his memory eternally. He will be forever remembered by his siblings Samantha Lee, Trevor Lee, Joe Stevens, and John Stevens as well as his step siblings Samantha Gleason, David Henry, Luke Henry, Cameron Stevens, and Hope Stevens. He leaves behind his paternal grandparents, Glen and Janice Lee who will keep him in their hearts.
Mack is preceded in death by his beloved father, Tracy Lee and his maternal grandparents Anthony and Evelyn Rosa.
Mack was born in Boone, Iowa on November 2, 1990. He grew up on "The Farm" in Dayton, taking care of pigs, bailing hay, learning how to drive the skid loader, helping supervise chores. He also enjoyed riding the golf cart, playing hide-and-go-seek tag, jumping on the trampoline (sometimes from off the roof when it was just the kids home), and generally getting up to shenanigans.
After graduating from Prairie Valley High School in 2009, Mack explored various paths before finding his calling. Mack took pride in his job as an electrician, and was only a handful of working hours away from getting his journeyman license, having already graduated schooling.
He was authentically himself, making him a wonderfully unique soul. Energetic and charismatic, Mack's magnetic personality drew people from all walks of life.
He was the type of person that would give you his last dollar and the shirt off his back. He was always up for an adventure whether that be daring to try a Russian Roulette spicy chicken wing platter, hiking 6 miles to The Hollywood Sign, riding his motorcycle across states, exploring art museums, or sitting down to paint pottery. Mack was someone who loved to simply do things. His sense of adventure was more than a trait – it is who he was.
