A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 12th at Holy Trinity Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery. A time of fellowship and a luncheon will follow the burial at the Celebration Center, Friendship Haven.

Tom is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathleen of Fort Dodge, daughter Kaleen (Matt) Mikulski of Eagan, MN, and granddaughter Meg Mikulski of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret (Nigg) Kregel.

Tom was born July 8, 1935, in Guttenberg, IA. He attended area schools and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Upon graduation, he served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1957. He then attended the University of Iowa and graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Further studies took him to the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers where he graduated in June 1976.

Tom spent his entire career in finance and banking, retiring as President & Chief Executive Officer at First American Bank Group, LTD. Tom was an avid golfer and a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Memorials may be left to St. Edmond Schools in Fort Dodge.
