ROBERT A. CRANDALL

A grave­side service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 15, 2023, at McGuire Bend Cemetery, south of Lehigh, with military rites provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard and the VFW Post 1856. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Robert is survived by his grandchildren Seth, Nick and Shane and great-grandchildren Charlotte, Margot and Riley James; sisters Jeanne Hill of Fort Dodge, and Judy Berte of Algona.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Vivian (Johnson) Crandall, his wife Nancy Crandall, and son Blake Crandall.

Robert Allen Crandall was born July 13, 1940, in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge Senior High School and on February 12, 1959, enlisted into the United States Navy and served during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged February 12, 1963. He was united in marriage to Nancy Ball on May 19, 1967. Nancy and Bob enjoyed golfing and casino trips. They also loved to travel and live in new places like Arizona.
