Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM on Friday, May 5, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

Randy Joseph Hamlow, son of Frank and Donna (Firnhaber) Hamlow, was born March 5, 1955, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. At the time of his death, he owned and operated his veterinary clinic in El Paso, IL.

Survivors include his partner, Melanie Boyle; mother, Donna Hamlow; siblings, John (Kathleen) Sandoval of Olympia, WA, Ronald Hamlow of St. Petersburg, FL, Kelli Hamlow of Fort Dodge, Kerri Moeller of Fort Dodge, and Kevin (Kimberly) Martin of Fort Dodge; one nephew, three nieces, three great-nephews, and two great-nieces.

Randy was preceded in death by his father Frank Hamlow, his grandparents Carl and Rose Hamlow, Albert and Velma Firnhaber and a brother-in-law Brian Moeller.

Randy’s life was full. Of all good things. He was devoted to family and to the path that he chose as a DVM. He was skilled, respected, and admired in the community he served. He was unwavering in his dedication in everything he pursued. Randy loved gardening, painting, traveling and an unending love of animals.
