Donald Gene Herrington died May 1st at his home with his children and pastor at his side.

A service honoring Donald’s life will be held Saturday, May 6th, 2:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Jena Finch-Manchester officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the church prior to the service. Interment will take place Sunday, May 7th at West Lawn Cemetery, Lehigh. Donald is survived by his children: Steve (Jill) Herrington of Katy, Texas, Denise Herrington of Fort Dodge, Michael (Jeanne) Herrington of Eagle Grove; seven grandchildren: Lindsey (Joe) Eisen, Matthew Waggoner, Anthony Herrington, Stephanie (Jordan) Roher, Adam Herrington, Jessica (Ryan) Derong and Drew Herrington; eight great-grandchildren: Landon Moeller, Jensen and Kyler Eisen, Keegan Waggoner, Grayson Herrington, Barrett and Beckett Roher, and James Derong; his twin brother, Ronald (Marge) Herrington of Humboldt and brother-in-law, Don (Colette) Bethel of Gowrie.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 68 years, Georgia, parents Delbert and Lucille Herrington, brother Jack Herrington, father and mother-in-law William and Maxine Bethel, brother-in-law Chuck Bethel and many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
