SEAN SPRINGER
Sean Springer, 32, of Fort Dodge, died in an ATV accident on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2023 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. Olaf Cemetery. Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services is entrusted with the arrangements.
Sean William Springer, eldest son of the late Steven and Julianne (Yoder) Springer, was born February 10, 1991 in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge schools, was active in sports and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 2009. Sean continued his college education and football career on the offensive line at ICCC and then Grand View University. He was a member of the Grand View National Championship football team in 2013. He graduated with his B.A. degree from Grand View University in 2015.
Sean made his home in Fort Dodge and became the owner of Midwest Medical Rides, B & L Drive Thru and the Vincent Bar and Grill. He was a FD Dodger football coach and loved the FD Dodgers, Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears, Cubs and Bulls. He was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Sean loved time spent with the family, especially grilling and hanging out by the pool. Sean lived life BIG. He will be remembered for his generosity, his hearty laugh, colorful shoes, love of travel and adventures, meeting new people and talking to anyone.
Sean is survived by his mom Juli Springer; his brothers Shea and Sawyer; his grandma Ruth Yoder and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was greeted in heaven by his dad Steve Springer and his grandparents Bill Yoder and Matt and Marlene Springer.
The Springer family encourages all to wear red and black for Dodgers/Grand View or any Chicago sports attire in Sean’s memory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed towards #SpringerStrong scholarship fund or to the Fort Dodge Senior High Athletic Department.
